Foundation Fun Fact Friday
It’s Friday…and that means it is Foundation Fun Fact Friday! Today we want to share a little bit about a program that is ran through the Foundation.
Bride to Hope is a Free Education and Support Program for Families and Friends Affect by Addiction.
If you or a loved one in your life, have been touched by substance abuse, we invite you to take advantage of this program.
With Bridge to Hope, you do not walk alone. You will find practical help, support, and solutions in the company of others who are affected by addiction. You will be filled with hope, encouragement, support, and education through sharing of experiences with the process of treatment and recovery of loved ones.
When the pandemic hit in 2020, Bridge to Hope did not waste a second and went completely virtual to still be there for their supporters and there was an increase in attendance. This program since it was founded in 1999 has served more than 5,000 local families and meets weekly on Wednesdays. In 2013, Beyond Bridge to Hope was introduced to address families’ grief due to the death of a loved one from substance abuse.
If you or a loved one has been touched and you need support, please do not hesitate to reach out to Janine Sidoruk, Bridge to Hope Program Consultant at sidorukj@upmc.edu or call the Foundation office for more information: 412-748-6640.
