Foundation Fun Fact Friday
We are back with another Foundation Fun Fact Friday!
In its tenth year of funding proposals submitted by staff members for their departments, Passavant Hospital Foundation announced that 19 projects are being funded, thanks to a partnership among Passavant Hospital Foundation, Passavant Hospital Auxiliary and UPMC Passavant Hospital. The 19 projects funded range in cost from $1,000 to $37,342 for a total of $235,692
We are excited to highlight one of those grants with you today.
With a shared grant of $186,710 from Passavant Hospital Foundation, Passavant Hospital Auxiliary and UPMC Passavant, the hospital acquired 15 new Stryker Prime Series stretchers for its fleet.
“They’re the Cadillac of stretchers –they reduce physical strain on clinicians, enhance patient safety and comfort, provide versatility in their use, and can accommodate weights up to 700 pounds,” said Lori Ferguson, director of environmental services and patient transport at UPMC Passavant. “With the hospital continuing to grow, it’s so important for us to have the proper equipment to meet the demand.”
We cannot thank UPMC Passavant Environmental Services and Patient Transport Departments for all their amazing work, dedication, and support in making sure our hospital continues to serve world class care.
