Purchase a Brick in Memory or in Honor of a Loved One

The Healing Garden at UPMC Passavant is a place to experience peace and connect with nature while staying in or visiting the hospital. Across from the Chapel, it consists of a fountain, benches, greenery and a pathway of engraved bricks donated by individuals, groups and businesses. Each brick is engraved with the donor’s message such as “In Memory Of” or “In Honor Of” or “Given By” as a visible acknowledgement of the donor’s sentiment and marking their support for our local hospital.

Be A Part of History

A History Wall in the lobby will tell the story of the hospital's founding and growth, highlighting the citizen-leaders, physicians, nurses, staff, administrators, donors and volunteers whose determination, skill and support have made our hospital not only possible but world-class. A gift in any size is welcome and donors making a gift of $500 or more will have their names (individual, couple or family) incorporated into the design.

Our hospital has a rich legacy, founded by Rev. Wm. A. Passavant on the Northside in 1849, moving to the North Hills from the Hill District in 1964 after a grassroots building campaign, merging with UPMC in 1997, and adding the old St. Francis Hospital in Cranberry as a campus in 2002.
